Mr. Blumenthal received his educational training in Interior Design from the UCLA Interior and Environmental Design Program. He is one of the inaugural Certified Interior Designers in California, with a specialized commercial certification. His career includes high level positions at California Design Associates and the renowned firm of A.T. Heinsbergen. He has over forty five years of design expertise, is a professional member of IIDA and is a State of California Commercial Certified Interior Design, CID. He has been presented with the ASID Best Commercial Facility Award, Los Angeles, and has been featured in numerous publications including Designers West, Millimeter and Todays Facility Manager Magazines.

Mr Blumenthal formed DESIGNWORKPLACE to further the concept of creating work environments that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional to both the client and the employee. To preserve this vision, strong relationships have been developed and maintained with both clients and vendors which allows for the planning and design of interiors that are unique to the user's needs while adhering to budget and quality control. The company's client base is broad and has included Universal City Studios Credit Union, Bank of Santa Clarita (Now Bank of Southern California), Preferred Bank, Pinnacle Estate Properties, Alliance Bank (now part of CalBank & Trust), Pacific Enterprise Bank (Now United Business Bank), PFF Bank & Trust (Now part of US Bank), Pacific Alliance Medical Center, 20th Century Fox Film Corporation, Printing Industries Association, Feit Electrical, Diamond Mattress, Shriners Hospital for Children, White Memorial Hospital, TriWest Distributing, Triangle Distributing, Southern California Orthopedic Institute, Scheu Development, Ridgegate Escrow, Gaspar Insurance and the law firms of Chapman & Glucksman and Latham & Watkins.
